"...they find a girl’s body, freshly killed and buried under a tree." SPOILER!! The girl had been paralyzed by the Burrowers and buried alive so they could come back later and feed on her. Why else would Parcher and company have sent her back with the young Dobie? If she were dead, they would have just left her as they did John Clay. This film is a breath of fresh air in the remake/PG-13 crap/CGI overload/pretty 20-something "actors" that seem to make up most horror lately. And before anyone starts up with comments about the Burrowers being CGI, listen to the commentary or watch the featurette about how the creatures were designed and used. "The Burrowers" is an amazing slow-burn, period horror film that today's ADHD audiences just can't seem to be able to deal with. Go back to your remakes and PG-13 trash.
