Our feeling is, if Fellini had been a Russian...! he would have made this as it had moments of LA STRADA and it even has moments of THE TIN DRUM (the girl in Rusalka refuses to speak, Oscar refuses to grow). This is a haunting and beautiful - and entirely original film worth seeing.
